Ethanol and your Motor

Rob Wardan brought up an important issue regarding ethanol and the detrimental effect it can have on your boat motor.  Since boats are exempt from the 10% mandate, you may want to consider filling your boat with "Clear Premium" when you can find it.  Clear premium is the name under which standard premium gasoline is being marketed in Western Oregon.  In this case, "clear" refers to the absence of ethanol.  Sta-Bil is an additive that can also help with some of the problems that some of the guys have been experiencing.  Following are a few stations that currently offer clear premium:

Pacific Pride Fuel and Go, I-5 exit for the city of Coburg, East side of freeway
open 24 hours, accepts cash or credit cards

The Jasper Market, Jasper.

Mathers Market, Highway 126 at Cedar Flat.

C G Market No. 2, Lowell.

Abhi’s One-Stop Market, Florence.

Orchard Point Marina at Fern Ridge Lake.
